When will my box be delivered?

We box up your fruit & veg and deliver it throughout the day on Saturday. We will send you an email or a text when it has been delivered. We will leave your box on your doorstep or in the spot you specified upon checkout. If you haven't specified a safe & sheltered spot upon checkout, please email us at hello@wonkybox.nz with your instructions.

How do I cancel or pause my subscription?

We are sad to see you go!

Login to your account via our website. Click on ‘Manage my Subscription’ in the bottom right hand corner. Click on the subscription number that you would like to stop. From here there you can click on ‘Pause’ or ‘Cancel’.

You can cancel or pause your subscription at any time however ensure you do so before Wednesday as this is our cut off day for orders. Your subscription renews every Wednesday morning. This is when payment is made and your order is created so ensure you cancel before Wednesday if you do not wish to receive a box on Saturday.

 

When will I be billed?

After you have subscribed and received your first box, you will then be billed every Wednesday. You can cancel or pause your subscription at any time however ensure you do so before Wednesday as this is our cut off day. If you cancel after Wednesday, you will still be charged and you will receive a box!

 

Do you deliver to my postcode?

We deliver to a growing number of postcodes in Wellington and The Hutt Valley. On 'The Box' page you can check to see if we deliver to you by entering your postcode before you add your box to the cart.

If we don't deliver to you, sign up to our Newsletter and we will let you know when we expand our delivery area. We are a growing business so it is just a matter of time!

 

Recycling

You can choose to leave your empty box out over Saturday night for us to collect and reuse. If not, the box that your fruit and veg come in is totally recyclable. Even the paper tape.

 

What do you do with your surplus fruit and vegetables?

Wonky is a ZERO food waste business! At the end of every week, when we have packed up the boxes we donate any leftover fruit and veggies to food banks around Wellington. Most of our surplus is given to Everybody Eats in the city centre who are on a mission to tackle food poverty, social isolation and food waste. 

 

My address has changed

To change your address login to your account via our website. Click on ‘View Addresses’ and you can add another address on the page.

 

Most of my veg isn’t misshapen!

We rescue fruit and vegetables that would otherwise go to waste. This could be because they are Wonky but also because there is are too many, the produce is too big or too small or there are marks on skin. They still taste delicious but the main markets don’t want to stock them.

An example!

In 2020 Nelson regions experienced some really shoddy weather during a key month for kiwi fruit growing. A big hail storm wiped out millions of dollars of kiwifruit and apples leaving tiny holes on the produce that were still on the trees. The fruit was still perfectly edible but the main markets didn’t want to stock them on the shelves. 

 

How to change my subscription from Weekly or Fortnightly or vice versa?

We are still working on this for our website! In the meantime, please email us a hello@wonkybox.nz and we will swap it round for you. 

 

COVID 19

Fruit and veg is considered safe within our health service. It has been reported that it is very unlikely that COVID-19 can be spread via packaging and food. Nonetheless, it is mandatory for all staff to wear sterile gloves when packing your box.

In the event of an outbreak and an increase in Level of Alert, we will do our best to continue delivering within local guidelines. However if we cannot get your box to you, you will be notified and you will not be charged.
