Winter Wellness Shot

This wellness shot is packed with fruity flavours as well has herbs and seasoning which give your immune system a kick. The concentrated dose of ingredient which have a natural cold-fighting properties will brighten up your winter mornings.

INGREDIENTS

MAKES 8-10 SHOTS:

2 large navel oranges

1 lemon

150g ginger

30g turmeric or 1 tablespoon turmeric powder

½ tsp black pepper

Water

OTHER OPTIONS:

Carrots

Beetroot

Apples

Celery

Spinach

Cucumber

INSTRUCTIONS

Wash the skins of oranges, lemons, ginger, and turmeric. Chop the oranges, lemons, ginger, and turmeric into smaller pieces.


Add the oranges, lemons, ginger, and turmeric to a blender. Cover with water. Blend until smooth. Place a sieve over a bowl & pour the liquid through the sieve to strain. Use a spoon to press down on the pulp to extract the liquid. Transfer the pulp to a muslin cloth & squeeze out all the extra liquid. Reserve the pulp to add a spoonful or two to your stir-fries for extra flavour. 


Store the wellness shots in an airtight bottle or jar in the fridge.
